Halloween night has come to Pug and Pig’s house, and the darling duo is sporting matching costumes. The costumes are cozy. They glow in the dark. And they have masks! There’s only one problem—Pug hates wearing his. So he decides to rip it up and stay home. But Halloween just isn’t any fun for Pig without Pug! Can Pug find a way to be a good friend and get back into the Halloween spirit?

Agh, I want to pinch their proverbial cheeks, Pug and Pig are so cute. As in my review for the first Pug & Pig installment, I think it's the completely adorable illustrations that make these stories so fun. In this book, though, I admit the storyline resonated pretty heavily because...well... I don't like Halloween. Gah! There. I said it. Pug and I are on the same page (pun not intended). But whether or not you like Halloween, this story works the classic friendship angle with simple text and a straightforward story. Check it out this holiday season!

Find it at your library or on Amazon

Oh, also, you should see the resources they whipped up for this book, including a teacher's curriculum guide AND an activity kit--complete with masks, cupcake toppers, a coloring sheet, and more! Or you could just admire the kit through the eyes of a certain adorable child coloring her little heart out:
